pillar-shaped reflection
Second photo taken by Ronald DE WEGER from exactly the same spot as the previous picture. A second, weaker reflection has now appeared. This one is from a combustion flame approximately one kilometre closer to the observer. Due to the pulsing nature of the gas flames, the pillars exhibited constant variations in brightness. The observer further noticed that, when one pillar got brighter, the other became weaker. This can probably be explained by the fact that most of the units at petrochemical works are interconnected. The photo's resemble those taken by Heino BARDENHAGEN, and in particular OP-PL-04 and OP-PL-05.
