This saucer-shaped building stems from 1989. It was presented at the yearly SIMAD expo, a fair for real estate, interior design and decoration held yearly in Rennes, France. The house, which was called the "Maison-toupie" (spinning top house), was conceived by Patrick MARCILLY, a former teacher in the department of Finistère, where the above picture was taken. The structure was rotatable around a central axis and was made entirely of wood coated with resin.
