light pillar
Rare shot of a spotlight mirrored in a high-altitude ice-crystal layer. The photo is the first of a series of four taken in Doetinchem, the Netherlands, on Augsust 27, 2005. The spotlight that created the pillar was operated from the city centre of Arnhem, 24 km (15 miles) west of Doetinchem (see OP-PI-23 for more info and additional photos).
